Step-by-Step Written Pattern
1. Back Panel
Using US 9 (5.5 mm) needles, CO 64 (72, 80, 88, 96, 104, 112, 120, 128) sts.
Work in Garter Stitch (Knit every row) until Back measures 21 (21.5, 22, 22.5, 23, 23.5, 24, 24.5, 25)" / 53 (54.5, 56, 57, 58.5, 60, 61, 62, 63.5) cm. BO all sts loosely.
2. Front Panels (Make 2)
CO 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 62, 66) sts.
Work in Garter Stitch until Front measures 18" / 46 cm. Shape neck by decreasing 1 st at neck edge on next 6 rows. Work straight until piece matches Back Panel. BO shoulder sts.
3. Sleeves (Make 2)
CO 36 (38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52) sts.
Work in Garter Stitch, increasing 1 st at each end every 6th row until reaching 60 (64, 68, 72, 76, 80, 84, 88, 92) sts. Work straight to final sleeve length. BO loosely.
4. Assembly & Pearl Buttons
- Sew shoulder seams and set in sleeves.
- Sew side and sleeve seams.
- Attach 4–5 pearl shank buttons evenly along Right Front edge.
Blocking & Finishing Protocol (Polyester Eyelash)
- Comb Out Eyelashes: Use a soft bristle brush or wide-tooth comb gently across seams to pull trapped eyelashes out of stitching.
- Light Air Blocking: Do NOT touch a hot iron to polyester eyelash yarn. Gently shake out the jacket to fluff up shimmer strands and lay flat.
