Cut yarn leaving 18 inch tail, thread tail onto yarn needle and run through all 12 st 2 or three times for strength, draw tail tight to close top of hat and secure tail inside hat by running through several stitches. Optional: make a small Pom-Pom and use remaining tail yarn to sew on Pom-Pom or just trim remaining yarn tail flush with hat.
